This Frick engine belongs to Maynard Peterson of Hampshire, Illinois. It required extensive welded repairs of the firebox and complete replacement of the barrel. A new front flue sheet and the re-mounting of the original steam dome completed the repair. All stay bolts and rivets were replaced as nearly as possible to the original construction. The original barrel had a riveted lap seam but the replacement barrel was built with a welded seam. The ASME Code was followed throughout and the boiler was returned to its' original pressure of 150# upon completion.
